Trainees are supported to “choose their own adventure” and secure internships with a wide variety of biotechnology and biopharmaceutical firms. Trainees are financially supported by both the program and internship companies. Logistic support involves coursework activities, Forum professional development, and individualized mentoring. Internships represent a win-win opportunity for trainees and company sponsors, leading to biotechnology workforce development.
